May 2020 PS Plus games

May’s totally free PS Plus games have been announced. Those of you who got hyped by the rumours of Dark Souls Remastered and Dark Light being in the line-up for May are probably going to be a wee bit disappointed, as that rumour turned out to be totally false.

It’s not all bad though, the two free games on offer for May are not terrible, just not everybody’s cup of tea I would guess.

Instead of parkouring over zombies and hacking your way through enemies you’ll be building a city and taking care of a farm if you choose to download May’s free PS Plus games.

The games we’ll be getting on PS Plus for may are of course Cities: Skylines and Farming Simulator 19.

I’ve never played any of these games, which is kind of good because there is nothing worse than finding out about the PS Plus free game line up and realising you already own them.

First up is Cities: Skylines, a city building game, like sim city I would imagine, possibly. The game boasts of endless sandbox gameplay and sprawling maps and landscapes. Cities: Skylines gets a very respectable 81 Metascore on Metacritic and a not too shabby 7.6 user score.

Next is Farming Simulator 19. In this game, you’ll be driving lot’s of tractors and other farm vehicles and doing whatever else it is you do on a farm. Farming Simulator doesn’t fair quite as well as Cities: Skylines on Metacritic, with a Metascore of 64 and a user score of 5.2.

If you’ve ever wanted to work on a farm but didn’t want to risk stepping in cow shit, then Farming Simulator 19 might just be the game for you.

That’s it for the PlayStation Plus free games for May 2020. Two games that are not particualrly mind blowing and may not be to everybody’s tastes but somebody might like to give them a bash.
